With the rising popularity (and value) of Bitcoins, authors and map editors can now enter their Bitcoin address in their account settings. Doing so will display your bitcoin address on all your submitted maps and/or tools along with the Bitcoin logo which allows users to send their appreciation in Bitcoins to the map/tool author (as an alternative to Adsense).

i dont know, waiting is ...waiting.... and anyway, i still cant get the "pool" idea! what pool?
i think this will be cool if i install it to all our powerfull dataservers at work, that are online 24/7 anyway, everything in there is AMD, so maybe i will install it and wait few days to see the results.
what i dont get and they dont give me an example to get it, (p s their site its not easy) is how can i say:
1,2,3,4 systems of mine minning for a Single "account" my account, when there is no "account" think going on, its this huge "sdfhj4kfhalsdfhkjp57jdsfh;aw4895jaskf9p84" uniqe ID that you have from every running client!, so what happens when you want to uninstall and move your credits? you simply "send them" to your other system with its new uniqe id?
cause i like the idea of total anonymous tranfers, and as i said its a Donation mostly i only thing the down said is not "trust" but how long will it take for a user with a powerfull system to get some bitcoins and donate them to you ;-)
anyway Every new addition is always welcomed....BUT i cant find any new "options" in the Admin Section of my Tools/Maps for this :/ where is it?

That's a less powerful GPU. It will generate about $1 worth of bitcoin each day (at current levels) if you join a pool.
if you happen to receive bitcoins as a donation, you can trade it for USD and withdraw USD to Dwolla (a paypal competitor), if you are in the U.S. Then from there to your bank.
If you are outside the U.S., the #bitcoin-otc marketplace will give you a place to cash out and receive payment in PayPal.

I have no interest in being rich financially ... I want to be rich as a person and I am getting there ... slowly but surely. :)
Seriously, I have ambitions in getting goddamn wealthy rich and retire at an age of 45..
Yet I'm intending in doing every part of it honestly without screwing people over (and goddamn slow with that attitude, so with the current rate I'm not getting there yet ;)
Nibbits isn't a goldmine, the advertising I have on here pays for the hardware and hosting costs, but only barely.
Yet it's a very fun site to manage and develop. The extra's I put on here are purely aimed at the community

On a side note:
My maps and those that I co-developed are all to commend "genuine charities" ... be they registered entities or helping a genuine person(s)/organization(s) in genuine need.
So many scam charities around, even registered ones (not for profit rorts) ... that a person really needs to be careful.
My personal experience is that there are usually genuine people in need that one meets, and being open to assisting is one definition of supporting a genuine charity.
My perspective is this ... make eternal riches and meet earthly needs.
True, I've been passing it by for a while now, I've been hearing of it for months now though.
Yet, there's google engineers involved programming bitcoin clients and you can cash in any currency you have into hard cash at this very moment (and we're not talking small amounts either).., that makes it very real to me and since I'm somewhat of a rebel, imho it's a great project to support.
And taking 'currency not backed by a Federal/Crown Reserve' into account. Have you looked at the Dollar lately ?, The US is currently at a trillion in debt, it's not like this is backed by anything really of real value (No the US doesn't have their worth in dollars stacked away in gold or anything else in value, it's exactly the same thing. A system built on trust)

Someone donates 0.5 bitcoin to the address you enter in your profile, you get a current worth of $3.25
Nibbits isn't even in between this, it's simply a extra method for donation..
So basically:
Except remove the 'because of X benefit for Nibbits' and replace it with 'because of X benefit for the authors of the map/item'
And vernam7, bitcoins are worth hard cash.., so if you have bitcoins, they represent the current exchange value.., you can get money for them in real time.

Nuka Cola anyone? The biggest problem with Nuka Bitcoin is the steep learning curve and natural distrust in a system that many, including myself, have never heard of before.
* steep learning curve.
* lack of trust in Bitcoins.
* question over accountability.
* currency not backed by a Federal/Crown Reserve.
... and the list goes on.
Just want to be realistic about all of this.
I look at Bitcoin, spent about half a minute on the topic, got bored, and moved on.
Now some positives.
A real life example why and how Nibbits see this as a benefits, eg:
Example A ... (Nibbits think Bitcoins are a good idea because of X benefit for Nibbits).
There must be some benefit to Nibbits, so what is such, by way of examples.

Bitcoin is a virtual currency with a static number of 'coins' in there. You can pay with this currency using a bitcoin client and due to a p2p nature of it, all transfers are checked across multiple clients, making it almost impossible to cheat.

This currency isn't government or bank backed, which makes it a true 'for the people, by the people' currency, and it's impossible for governments to control due to the peer2peer nature of the network that controls the coin.
