  • I found it kinda hard to figure out how to upload my stream, didn't know i had to ask an admin for that...

so maybe create an application form for uploading streams so you dont have to approve "manually" every time?

By the way my stream is

    Please add me admin :-)

  • PLEASE change back the maps view where you can see how many maps are under each category. The new way is far inferior (harder to see that new maps have been added to a category, less fun to help categorize maps when you don't know how many are in the category, etc.) and makes it less obvious the size of maps we have collected for various styles for starcraft on Nibbits. Half the fun of adding maps on to the site and putting in good descriptions, rating/commenting etc. was seeing the number for the category go up so you could see how the collection was growing or how much more of it was now organized in categories. Now I feel like I am looking at an ugly page for each category that doesn't give me much of an idea of what sort of content is in the category. Or at least if you keep it that way allow us to see that old page view somewhere else because it was awesome! Now we have to page count to check on categories map numbers which kind of sucks and makes it harder to tell people are categorizing old submitted maps or adding more maps to a category.

  • I actually removed the stat for 2 reasons:

    1. It was somewhat inefficient
    2. With the category browser it didnt fit in the sidebar.

This is still an work-in-progress, so if I can't find a way to make them fit into the design then maybe we'll add them to the stats section, or on each individual page.

  • Be able to comment on someone's review, so that if you own the map, you can give an explanation on why you had something how it was, etc.

  • pretty minor, but I'd like to be able to login from the sc2.nibbits.com main page (textboxes where the current login/register links / logged in status goes)... saves a click every time you have to log in.

  • It would be nice if we could put replays into groups so people could browse them by "foo's Platinum Terran replays" or "ESL 2011 RO16"

  • Cool

but I think gold needs to be more useful if we want people to actually want more of it. There needs to be almost an inner economy in nibbits, as in MMORPG's.

Maybe you could buy option to customize your user page with wallpaper background, certain themes, etc.

Or you need a lot of gold to organize and advertise a clan.

Maybe people need to pay clan fees for activities that cost lot of gold & need to be shared among ppl.

I like that as well. Maybe when I get some time I can improve user pages.

I've been considering giving like 1xp per 100 downloads or something, but it's not something I've had time to do yet :)

If you want to promote Nibbler even more, have mapmakers earn additional XP if the map is downloaded with Nibbler :) Incentive to use the tool.

  • I wish to request expanded BBCODE and or HTML, XHTML functionality. Even if on a per application basis.

Helps when wanting to layout a stylish page, such as a manual, for example:

    http://sc2.nibbits.com/forums/29/view/660/new-install-instructions-for-noobs-or-not-and-faq-here

Thank you for considering this suggestion.

  • I wish to request an enhancement to the features available to project leads. For example, once a project has grown to the stage where a number of semi permanent "staff" are appointed by the project originator(s), then it would be helpful to have the following options available:

    1. Project lead and appointed staff have a custom title under their username, eg "ACME staff".
    2. A system where by members of a project can communicate other than the current system of PM and on the board. I know emails etc exist, but this needs to be kept part of nibbits.
    3. At the present, a criteria is needed before a signature is permitted. Perhaps this could be reviewed for appointed staff of projects so that they could have a useful link in their signature, eg "ACME manual and FAQ".

The big picture is to support the development of projects under the nibbits umbrella.

    Thank you for your time.

  • Although I understand why you are suggesting these things, the problem is that this nullifies the aspect of "earning" those features.

Just buy the signature or the title, and put the information in there?

    You miss the point.

Your argument does not encourage the formation of teams.

    My suggestion does.

An approved team would have these features for the duration of their existence and members that leave would revert back to the normal status.

Think of it in terms of mods with specific powers, that being team leaders.

    .......

    Polls is a suggestion.

  • No, you missed the point in your stubborn outlook.

Lets assume for a second that your wish is granted, what if you're apart of multiple teams? You're going to have multiple titles? What if you want a custom title that isn't associated with a project?

The best result would be a bio appearing under the avatars where you can write what you're associated with. (Above where you can write your server/user name)

Also, off the topic at hand, don't come off so hostile because someone disagreed with you.

Also, what the hell is the point of showing that you're apart of a team? If you're co-authoring something then having your name under authors on a map, or other resource/media would make sense, but to show up on the forums? If you're that proud of it put it into your title or signature.

Also, if you think people who form teams should gain these free perks, what would stop people from just abusing that fact saying they're apart of "XXXX map" that never actually goes anywhere?

  • I think that the team feature could just go into a sort of team profile page in which people can easily check that page alone for updates on what the team is working on and their uploaded items among other things rather than having to search for them all over. The link could be a small thing located in any team member's profile.
