The Royal Canadian Golf Association announced Thursday that Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club in Priddis, Alta., will host the 2009 CN Canadian Womens Open. "Calgary and Ottawa this year will be tremendous helps in showing the world that we are indeed a major." The exact dates for the 09 tournament have not yet been determined. However, Rich Desrosiers, the RCGAs chief operating officer, said the event will likely be held sometime in August. "Weve not announced the final date because theres still a little bit of movement taking place on the LPGA Tour," he said. "Safe to say it will be towards the second part of August." The 2009 event will mark the second time in three years that Alberta has hosted the Canadian Womens Open. In 2007, Lorena Ochoa won the event at the Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton.
